  • Recruitment / appointments / promotions / transfers and re-imbursement of medical charges, grant of leave and pension to the employees of the main Ministry of Education.
  • Rules and regulations for appointment, promotions, efficiency etc in the main Ministry.
  • Maintenance of CR dossiers / ICP Charts / declaration of assets of the officers of Ministry / Attached Departments.
  • Identification of major issues, problems and requirements of various Sections / Sectors and Wings of the Ministry of Education.
  • Deputation of staff in and outside the country on foreign service and settlement of their terms and conditions of appointment.
  • Framing of Recruitment Rules for the professional staff, incorporation of amendments / alterations, etc. in these Rules.
  • Periodical returns relating to disciplinary cases, vacant posts etc.
  • Processing of disciplinary cases, Courts and Wafaqi Mohtasib cases etc.
  • Administrative and financial matters of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO.
  • Administrative matters / budget of Education Division, Washington and Quaid-e-Azam Students Hostel, London.
  • Pension cases.
  • Review cases of BPS 1-22 employees under Section 13 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.
  • Processing of release of funds and reconciliation of expenditure.
  • Public Accounts Committee, Departmental Accounts Committee, Audit observations and Internal Audits.
  • Preparation of budget of Main Ministry, re-appropriation proposals, maintenance of appropriations accounts and coordination with AGPR.
