Apart from facilitating the District visits for the NEPR team, the Provincial Education Departments hosted, a one-day Education Conference  in each provincial capital, with logistic support of the Ministry of Education.  Education experts and  practitioners, managers and financers actively participated in the conference to debate on various aspects and issues related to education. Themes for discussion were finalized in consultation with the Provincial Education Departments.

The objectives of the Provincial Conferences were to:

• Create provincial ownership
• Provide a forum to every Province to openly debate their Province-specific issues and problems related to education
• Ensure broad-based participation of a diverse group of stakeholders from all walks of life
• Improve collaboration/coordination between the Ministry of Education and Provincial Education Departments
• Bring together representatives both from the Public and Private sector and explore avenues of their partnership in the revised Policy
• Inform the NEPR Team and enhance their understanding of the contours of Province-specific problems

Besides provincial education conferences, Area Government Education Conferences were also held for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) region, Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA), Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). Consultations were also held with the Federally Administered Northern Areas (FANA).
